Harold Martin: Ex-NSA Contractor Accused of Stealing 50TB of Data

Harold Thomas Martin III is a Ex-NSA for Booz Allen Hamilton who has been blamed for stealing around 50 terabytes of information from the National Security Agency.

Martin has agreed to plead guilty to his crimes. He spend 20 years working for United State intelligence agencies with top level security clearance, was caught on October 2016 when authorities seized 50 terabytes of data from his home.

Officials say this was the biggest theft of US government secrets in history, althought it's yet still not clear what Martin did with the stolen data. At the time of his arrest he was working for the same firm Edward Snowden was working for when he leaked top secret files to the press in 2013.

The court filings say that Martin is due to plead guilty at a federal court in maltimore on January 22nd. His lawyers will have their work cut for them, as they had perviously mention that Martin didn't intent to use the data for wrong purposes, but he was simply a holder.
